JOIN SENATOR LANZA IN SUSPENDING THE STATE TAX ON GAS

Proposal would save New Yorkers 33 cents per gallon

With rising gasoline prices putting a major strain on New York’s families and businesses, Senator Lanza has sponsored legislation (S.7594) which would eliminate New York State's taxes on gasoline from Memorial Day to Labor Day to provide much needed tax relief at the gas pump.

If the State enacts this tax relief plan, you would save approximately 33 cents per gallon in state gasoline taxes. If the federal, State and local governments all temporarily suspended their taxes from Memorial Day to Labor Day, you would save 65 cents per gallon at the pump.

This initiative would also reduce costs for local businesses who have to fuel their delivery trucks and perform services. Lowering these costs, which ultimately get passed on to you in the form of higher prices, will hopefully lead to cheaper prices for consumers accross the board.

Join Senator Lanza in his fight to suspend the state taxes on gasoline this summer by filling out and submitting the form below.
